Days have slipped into weeks, and weeks into months..... I have been missing in action! I must admit here, that I started many a diary when I was a little girl, and a not so little girl - and no matter how many times I swore that I would keep up to date with the happenings in my life.... I never did get past the first few entries!!! And that pattern appears to have continued into adult life!
I take my hat off to all of you lovely bloggers out there who not only manage to keep up-to-date with your blogs... but keep them beautifully entertaining - thank you.
Anyhoos, not only have I been missing in action from the computer but my sewing machine has been sitting quietly in the corner collecting dust!
Instead I have been hanging out with the kids, spending lots of time with them.... and going through their drawers I realise that they have all grown so much and that they are in desperate need of new clothes.
The girls both need long sleeve tops and some winter skirts and dresses, and my little man needs tops, tops and something he can wear on his top! My hope is that in updating their wardrobes my inspiration in vintage children's patterns flows once more.......

Last week, I finally got around to sewing a little dress, from some material I picked up from the local Red-Cross....
It was a work in progress.... I decided that it would look rather sweet as a dress, and would be super snug for the winter. Then little gathers appeared and all little people love pockets, don't they? Unfortunately it was a last minute decision to add the pocket. It would have been much easier if it was added before the dress was sewn together! A little bit of old lace that was hanging around, a few fabric flowers added... and de da!
One sweet little winter dress for Little Miss Mabel!
Will try again at a later date!
Right, off to make a start on Miss Madeleine's top..... I promise, I WILL be back, soon!
