Ooh La La.. Why I Love the Postman!!!

I have received these little beauties over the last few days...   and I am very excited!
I would love to make the first one for my eldest daughter, I'm just not 100% sure that it would be suitable for climbing trees, tampolining and all things tomboyish???
Don't get me wrong, she loves frocks that rock, but will she really wear it?
Mmmmm.......  maybe!

And this one is just adding fuel to my current obsession!!
Do you think a hood would work on this?
Though I do quite like it just the way it is, sweet and traditional.
I think I may make this up in some funky boy material....  poor boys seem to lack in funky stuff.
Would a little boy wear this style?

Both these pattern are from the 1960's, the frock 1965 and the coat 1965.
Will keep you updated with the progress....though the truth be told, I don't look to be starting these projects anytime soon.!

Crazy About Jackets.....

Well actually, I am crazy about hoods!  I love them, would put them on everything...  have made half a dozen jackets in the last week, and even if the pattern doesen't call for hoods, I have to add one!

Take this sweet little number... which by the way I am totally in love with! This is adapted from a 1960's Dress Coat - so technically isn't meant to be a coat at all....  but open the front up and add a hood and you have the perfect Autumn coat. Yah for the hood I say - would love to know what you think?
