Trying to keep the children's wardrobes updated is an on-going exercise..... they grow far too quickly! But my plan is to make (for the girls) long tops that can be worn over leggings/stockings and then when they grow, those long tops become jumpers!! Good plan I reckon.... here is a little top that for Miss Madeleine - who is rather tricky to please - I would love to make her frocks and skirts, but she prefers clothes that allow her to climb trees!
Though here she looks like the perfect 8 year old, sitting quietly reading a book, but once she realises the camera is rolling, her true self shines through.....
.....that's my girl. She really is a delight!
The colour of this top really suits her. I had made a summer top in the same fabric and she loved it.
Luckily for the both of us, I had enough to make this jumper, which I am hoping will get alot of wear this winter. And she insists that she loves the flower and actually requested the ribbon, as it made her feel like she had won first prize!
I just made this pattern up, so I don't really have much to say about this.
I am not sure if I enjoy sewing knits. On one hand it is relatively quick to sew, but then I find it rather demanding as well. The jury is still out.
